The picture says it all, I’ve been a debit card carrying customer of the Bank of America Corporation (BAC) for 12-ish years.  I’ve never had to pay a fee for debit card transactions until now.  In addition to the $5 fee, there’s now a $12 fee that shows up on my account that I have yet to investigate.
Are these the types of decisions responsible for the incredible bonuses yielded by BAC’s top brass?
Notice about 1/3 the way down the page (HERE), the link to “7 banks that are still awesome”… I checked it out, and they ARE.  My question is, if relatively small banks can afford such great perks without insane limitations (sorry but I can’t just keep thousands of dollars in a bank account in order to avoid fees), why can’t the big boys?  Shouldn’t they be just as efficient, if not more so than the little guys?
